When Sara and Tom discovered their 1970s home two years ago, they instantly fell in love. The house has charm, but the separate rooms make it difficult to create a warm atmosphere. For stylist Marlies, that’s exactly the challenge: she sees endless possibilities to connect the spaces and transform the house into an inviting whole.
Sara longs for structure, but also for an explosion of colour and coziness. Tom prefers a modern style. That’s why Marlies chooses a fresh floor as the new foundation, combining modern lines with playful accents. For example, the lines of the tiles on the fireplace, but also the striped wallpaper from our Explore collection, a pink variant in the living room and a sand version in the colourful niche of the cabinet wall in the conservatory.
The result is a home that now feels unified. Warm, inviting, and full of love. Exactly what Sara and Tom were hoping for!
