When Lyan and Michel moved into their first home a year ago, enthusiasm was the dominant feeling. The large garden and the arrival of labradoodle Pom completed the picture. The interior quickly took shape as a mix of existing furniture, inherited pieces and a splash of warm orange paint (a compromise between their different tastes). Still, the feeling remained that the house didn’t truly feel like their own yet.
The ageing property also presented them with unexpected challenges, making their differences even more visible. Lyan is drawn to light and soft colours, while Michel looks for darker tones, autumnal warmth and an interior filled with plants.
